Why does this jerk hate fat people?

Would you agree that prejudiced people are assholes?
Rex Reed, movie critic and hippo-sized, prejudiced asshole.

and incredible charm, wit, humor and oversized achievements and success.

"I cordially invite Mr. Rex Reed to go fuck  himself."

This is becoming something of a crusade of mine: lashing back at jerks who judge people based on their size. Comments that we would never make about any other aspects of a person's appearance, such as race or ethnicity, have been largely banished from public discourse, certainly in the mainstream media. But fat people are still a target for public prejudice, despite the fact that the whole obesity epidemic is a medical farce: Studies show that overweight people are healthier, as I have written before. But the public prejudice against "people of size" is reaching epidemic proportions, and it needs to stop.

So the bee in my boxers today comes from film critic Rex Reed

Would you agree that prejudiced people are assholes?  Sorry for the blunt language, but sometimes you have to call an asshole and asshole; no other word will do.

Rex Reed: Major asshole.  Reed is a film critic who called actress Melissa McCarthy "tractor-sized" and a "female hippo."  Reed attacked McCarthy's personal appearance four times in three paragraphs in a review of her latest comedy, "Identity Thief."

In addition to the "tractor" and "hippo" comments, Reed refers to McCarthy's career as a study in "being obese and obnoxious with equal success."

Paul Feig, who directed McCarthy in her Oscar-nominated role in "Bridesmaids," remarked, "For his catty and school bully name-calling of the supremely talented Melissa McCarthy, I cordially invite Mr. Rex Reed to go fuck himself."

Well said, sir! I applaud you, Mr Feig.
