Freakonomics authors: Voices of reason on gun violence

Two of my favorite thinkers, the authors of Freakonomics and Superfreakonomics, economist Steve Levitt and writer Stephen Dubner, have focused their weekly podcast on reducing gun deaths. These two are experts but waited out of respect to voice their views until some time passed since the horrors at Newtown and Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Their podcast and writings should be required assignments for every person who cares about this issue.

My own view is that we can't control guns; but we can reduce the behavior of gun violence through ruthless, relentless prosecution and punishment of anyone who uses a gun in an illegal way; no matter how small or pettty the crime. For more, click here or on the links below:
